What’s the verdict on using a batterybank with Organelle?

Safe to use? How long ? etc.

i use one all the time, i just make sure that I power down the organelle before the bank runs out. how long depends on the capacity of the battery, mine last many many hours

oh and if its a usb battery bank, you’ll need a USB to 9v adapter.
ive detailed all this on the forum before, if search I’m sure you’ll find it

Bus journeys will never be the same again :ok_hand:

Great, yeah I searched but couldn’t find. Is there a 9v one you recommend?

i used this

its nothing ‘special’ afaik, just one that had reasonable reviews when i bought it, and ive had no issues with it - I bought a switchable 9v/12v as Ive another use for it, if i was just buying for the organelle, Id get a simple 9v one, just to avoid an accident of it being on 12v

I’ve a 20000mAh usb battery bank, and last a really long time… but you could buy a smaller one if you wanted it to be a bit lighter.

overall all works great

Oof, that step up converter cable is great. I’m using a 6xAA battery pack and just having to use guesswork to judge when they need changing. Being able to plug into my power bank would be loads safer and cheaper.

So this should work? https://www.amazon.com/Flashlight-10000mAh-Portable-Travelling-Activities/dp/B076Y7VT1N/ref=pd_day0_21_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B076Y7VT1N&pd_rd_r=VADXT3Z2674VGPMM77SR&pd_rd_w=h4PZt&pd_rd_wg=8tHeR&psc=1&refRID=VADXT3Z2674VGPMM77SR

With this? https://www.amazon.com/Voltage-Converter-JESSHINY-Power-Transformer/dp/B07219PGSW/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1523891076&sr=1-5&keywords=9%2Bvolt%2Bup&th=1

looks ok to me.
(disclaimer: i take no responsibility to suitability though as ive used neither of these products  )
