# Advice for a new user who doesn't have much audio knowledge

Hi! I am a new user of organelle M and have little knowledge about audio. Hope I could get some advice from experts here 🙂

Is it possible to connect a mp3 player directly to the organelle and modify the music with it? Or any simple set-up to play a mp3 file? are there nice patches for this purpose? Is it possible to record the modified sound directly?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi, You need a cable/ adapter from mini to 6.3mm jack to connect your player with the organelle. And there are plenty of patches to modifie the sound. All the effect patches can do it and you can record into some of the sampler patches and play around with recorded sounds there.  
Just binge through the critter and guitari videos on youtube and you will get to know almost all of the pre installed patches and then there is patchstorage for more fun 🙂

Hmm… I’m thinking I could port to orac/organelle one of my old DJ style Mp3 player… that could be handy.
