# Can't download OS 3.1

Hi all. I’ve just bought an Organelle second hand and it’s running OS 2.1. I’ve been trying to update it to 3.1 but the ‘Download patch’ tab on the website isn’t doing anything. Any ideas? Many thanks! Bob

The 3.1 update patch is obsolete. The recommended way to update the OS is to flash a new SD card. There are instructions in section 7.1 of the manual:

Thanks! I tried version 4 earlier but it would only install to 99% on the unit. I’ll have to try it again.
