# Hello - I'm in LOVE with the ETC

Just wanted to say Hi and say how extremely excited I am about the ETC! I hope to contribute a lot for this community and get into some patch programming soon. I’ve been doing VJ work with a laptop for many years, and even after one night of playing around, I can tell the ETC is going to change how I work in a very fundamental way. The way these C&G units bridge the gap between software and hardware is absolutely brilliant. It’s such a good feeling knowing I could just show up and start jamming a VJ set with no prior setup involved. The projector or screen aside, this is an _instrument_! The ETC is my video “guitar/piano” and the projector/screen is the amplifier! LOVE it!
