# Organelle as a slave

If you’re looking to avoid 5-pin DIN MIDI, there’s this adapter:

Another option that involves 5-pin DIN is a USB-MIDI adapter like [Roland UM-One](https://www.roland.com/global/products/um-one) connected to your USB hub and a TRS-MIDI cable. Please note that the Organelle’s TRS-MIDI ports are _Type A_. (Type B cables will not work)
