# Organelle M mic not working

Just got my Organelle. The mic is not working. the light doesn’t turn red on tapey and just stayes pink even when I’m right next to it. I don’t know weather I’m doing something wrong or its broken

Is anything happening on the VU meter on the top of the screen? When the mic is selected (the switch on the back) you should see activity on the VU meter when you speak or tap on it.
