5 Moons Discontinued?

Sorry if I’m late to this, but just checked the website, and it’s in the Museum and not on the top of the page; only Eyesy and Organelle remain.

Such a nice concept, would be great if it came back in a different iteration with some things like a battery compartment. Or hopefully, this mean something else is coming, especially if Organelle related.

Anyone else have thoughts? Would you like to see a V2, and if so, with what adjustments? Or maybe a Kaleidoloop/5 Moons mashup?

Would be great. But that said, I guess you’ll be able to create 5 moons in an Organelle, if I’m not wrong? Not the same hardware experience, agreed, but with an external midi controller, maybe almost?

I’m not sure, but there may even be a .pd file somewhere, with the 5 moons patch, as alle the C&G devices are Pure Data based.

The .pd file you speak of is here:

YEah!. I wonder why it has been discontinued. Maybe it wasn’t selling good enough?. It’s a shame that it got discontinued now that the community was starting to do some interesting contributions to its code…

Only guessing but one thing could be focus. Producing hardware is not an easy task for a small company, and giving support for all devices neither. So focusing on the “best” or most versatile devices can be a good thing in the long run, for company and personal health and maybe other reasons. From a technical perspective, the Organelle can be a 5 Moons…so…focus. And probably I am totally wrong

There’s only so many hours in a day, NTM capital requirements for operations, development and inventory purchases. The Eyesy got ignored for quite a while and many thought it was dead, but look at it now. Priorities? Running a sub-scale tech business is hard. I wouldn’t be surprised if the 5 Moons came back at some point. If it does, get 'em while they’re hot.
