Do i need to use software to add JPEGS?

sorry for the basic question but i scrolled and read thru the forum and looked in the manual.

how do you add images/photos to the ETC?

It’s covered in the manual.
Pick an image mode and put images in the Images subfolder. You could do that via webserver or just using the USB card on your computer.
