I added a powerbank to my Organelle S

Hi all,

I added a power bank to my Organelle S to make it battery powered and I wanted to share the pictures with you all. I used a small 5000mah powerbank. I made a hole in the case for the USB cable and I am using the myvolts usb converter for the 9V conversion. I could have done a better job drilling the hole but oh well..

I taped the power bank to the back for now until I can make a 3d printed housing for it. The usb cabe both powers the organelle and can also recharge the power bank if connected to an outlet. Unfortunately I don’t have an indicator to show the battery level on the powerbank and I haven’t tested how long the battery will last, but I will update you once I test it.

The power bank is one of those with wireless charging capability for smartphones. I made sure that the wireless charging magnets are facing the bottom of the device, away from the electronics. However I am still not sure if it can damage anything.

What do you guys think? Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Interested to hear how it goes. Been powerbanking my S for a while but never thought of putting the bank inside the organelle! Nice knobs too! Where are they from?

Thank you! So far it is really nice. Somehow putting the battery inside the organelle makes it feel more portable.

The knobs are from Amplified Parts (formerly Antique Electronic Supply). They have a huge selection and parts are quality. I got the 0.5” diameter aluminum set screw knobs.
