My patch loads & runs fine in graphical mode - but not otherwise. Any ideas?

All sounds very similar to my experience. Worked ok in GUI mode but not when loaded headless:

I’ve got a sample heavy patch that only works once the desktop GUI has been loaded by typing startx. If I try and launch without the GUI my Organelle freezes. Any idea why this would be?
