SD card disk image with patch storage

Trying to flash the .zip file from Etcher will not work, at least it never has for me. You need to unzip and flash the .img file. You mentioned you are able to do this in MacOS, but then Etcher gives you an error. What exactly is the error?

If you send a pm or contact us we could send you a new SD card that is already flashed, perhaps something happened to the card you are using…

That card you mentioned should be fine (if you haven’t tried it yet!). I think all micro SD cards over 2GB are microSDHC anyway.

This is the error I get from Etcher every time try and flash the image to the SD card.

The point it is now moot however as after trying this about 20 - 30 times total over the past couple weeks, the SD card has just fallen inside the Organelle casing completely. Would love to try a working, replacement card if one is available.

that ‘error’ is to be expected, and is not an issue.
(its coming from finder, which as expected cannot read the existing linux partition on the scared)

you should still have been able to flash the sdcard, and then just place it back into the organelle.

its easy to get the sdcard out of the organelle, just unscrew the 6 screws on the side , and take the bottom out … you may have to ease the metal casing apart slightly as it can become quite stiff.

Thanks thetechnobear. I suspected that the error message might be for that reason, but I also get nothing but a blank screen every time I try to load the flashed SD card on the Organelle.

Thank you also for the SD card removal tip. That worked quite easily.

Hey buddy,
Did you manage to find a work around with the SD card problem?
I have been noodling with the 3.1 OS for a few months and decided to update to 4.0 OS and I’m having the exact same problem.

Blank screen on boot up, Etcher says successful flash after the process but still no boot up.
Its an absolute nightmare innit:(

yeah. finally sorted this out. the m model has no boot/load screen, just a black screen for a minute or so. that was it. all that stress for nothing. but glad there wasn’t anything actually wrong with the unit I guess.

Ah that’s good to hear. I just re installed 3.1. I have it working

Anyone able to update the root for OGM 4.1?
