SD card disk image with patch storage

Nope, no solution so far.
And to be honest, my Organelle is in a box somewhere until I have more time.

OK, Ive released a utility which will resize sd card to maximise patch/sample storage on an sdcard, so you’ll get SDCardSize - 4GB , so a 16GB card will give you ~12GB , 32GB , 28GB.

please put any questions etc on that post, not here.

Note: you need to have already installed the C&G OS 3.1 SD card image for this to work (instructions also in the above post) - but you should have done this already anyway

I tried several times and wasn’t able to flash the 3.1 image. I’m sorry I didn’t catch the exact error but it was something about it not being the expected size? There were also CRC errors when I tried to unzip the img file.

I’m now trying to roll back to 3.0 and hope that works!

what size is the SD card you are trying to use? 8GB and higher will work. 4GB is too small

8 gb, the one that came with the Organelle.

Hello! Would there be soon an updated version of this image with Orac 2.0?

Did you get the 16/32 image you were looking for?

I just cratered a 32GB card with over 22GB space for files.

Hi, I am trying to flash a new image for organelle M on a 8GB card, but hitting issues during flashing in Etcher.

Img: http://thepeacetreaty.org/organellem/images/20190619-ogm-v3.2.img.zip
SD: 8GB
Organelle M

The error in etcher says -

I tried unzipping but can’t. Any tips ?

You should be able to unzip the disk image and then use Etcher to flash the unzipped image.

I am struggling with unzipping. Get error
image

hmm, says an error is “keeping you from copying the file.” ? how are you unzipping it? are you using Windows?

hi, i have same problem. something with unziped file. etcher after flash show this error. please help)

I’ve tried this about a dozen times today on multiple different computers all with negative results.

Is it possible that the image (20180529-v3.1.img.zip) hosted on thepeacetreaty.org is corrupted?

Getting all of the same errors others are mentioning above when using both PC & Mac.

You are getting errors unzipping? Or error while using Etcher?

Sorry for being unclear.

I have tried this on multiple computers (3) and operating systems (Windows 7 & macOS Catalina); none result in successful results.

I am getting both errors unzipping in some cases and errors with Etcher in other cases.

All exactly the same as the screenshots already shared.

My brand new organelle has basically been a brick for the past 5 months.

Thanks so much for the help here. It is incredibly appreciated!

I just downloaded the disk image and checked that it is not corrupted. Did you try downloading again?

Are you unzipping the file before selecting it in Etcher? After you download and unzip you should have the file 20180529-v3.1.img (no .zip). This is the file you want to open in Etcher.

Also, what is the size of the SD card you are using? 4GB or 8GB?

Every time I ran through the process (about a dozen times total) I downloaded a fresh disk image.

In Windows 7, I get the unzipping error previously shared, in macOS Catalina, I am able to unzip but get the Etcher error previously shared. I even tried unzipping in Catalina, copying that over to the Windows machine and flashing from there. This appeared to produce no errors but resulted in an SD card to does not boot up the Organelle.

I tried both flashing the .zip file and the unzipped .img file on both systems and none resulted in a SD card that would boot up my Organelle.

I am using the 8GB SanDisk Edge SD card provided by Critter and Guitari with the Organelle.

I am using an Organelle-1 and want to start using sd card for patches and drop the usb stick.
Is there something I should know before picking out a card?

F.ex I was looking at this: https://www.komplett.no/product/953831/foto-video/minnekort-til-foto-video/sandisk-microsdhc-ultra-16gb

It says "microSDHC (not backward compatible with standard microSD-card). Is this a problem for the Organelle?

Anything else I should know before buying a card? What about speed. How fast is the card slot on the Organelle?

Hi again, Just checking back in on this… I would really love to be able to use my Organelle. Thanks again!
