Understanding what all the patches do in Organelle S2

I have only had my 2s a week now and have successfully updated the ( firmware..environment thingey?) to V5 and learnt how to use wifi to lodge new patches and now Orac2.

I thought it sensible to firstly understand how everything in this little box works before I start with ORAC.

I am slowly coming to grips with it but there are some patches in there that I have not a clue what they do or get a note out of them.

This pure data stuff is mind blowingly intriguing so I am looking forward eventually to having a tweak or two with it. Ordered a book on it.

My question is……

Is it normal to have to spend Somme considerable time working out exactly what does what and why?

I would reckon I am gonna need a few weeks just twiddling till it all sinks in.
