Yes, we used the DIY kit, for the Metal Marshmallow contact mic, externally powered by battery, and it works. Great for a portable set up with 5 moons, and has a adjustable gain. .I 'm wondering if we used the same kit( battery powered the inbuilt preamp), with an electret condenser mic like an Primo 272 instead of a contact mic, would that theoretically work directly into the 5 moons? I’m very keen to have a very portable set up, capturing nature sounds etc…
