This is a brief demo of my Ekkko Station v0.003 running on the Organelle M. The whole EkkkOs MIDI control system runs very smoothly. Can also be run without a MIDI controller with all live functions, delay time, models, delay slop, reverse, file system. It will be available from my Patreon or other shortly.
What has happened to this project - saw your tube video and thought the patch had some real potential.
I think a couple of reasons. I get the impression that when people realised the Organellle M version only came as an an adjunct of one of my Bandcamp albums (6.99 euros) there was no interest. When the offer ran out I just quietly withdrew it. I also offered it to C&G (Owen) if they made it an official patch for the Organelle M and S but after a couple of email exchanges they never replied so I assumed there was no interest either.
No problem at all as itās a great tool in my own production and actually gives my work a unique voice. Do check out my new Organelle (original) project āModem-Xā https://www.facebook.com/502332142/videos/1279171833390028/
i was interested, went to your bandcamp (last week) and was confused as to which album to purchase in order to get the patch. maybe putting a demo version on patchstorage and then linking to paid version on a platform like itch.io could work?
Iām not sure that it is explicitly forbidden, but I think using Patchstorage to advertise a product runs somewhat counter to its intended usage - this is just me, but I know I would be disappointed to see that creep into the posted patches. Users here have previously posted links to commerce sites like Gumroad to sell this sort of thing, perhaps that is a better solution.
I think thereās an expectation for the organelle patches that they are open source - I would encourage you to consider making it freely available on Patchstorage but I also understand that you will have put time, effort and work into it. I am sure there just isnāt the commercial market for it anyway.
Looking forward to see what you do next
@UrbanFugitive There are two issues with what you write. Pure Data patches are by themselves not opens ource, they are legally property of the maker and the make chooses what kind of license they adjunt to it. The Pure Data license makes that explicit. If you have issues navigating what is open source and what it means in terms of Pure Data this is a good thread to read.

Secondly when you say expectancy, donāt you really mean self entitlement?
As made clear from the beginning, Ekkko was never sold as an item and the Organelle version of Ekkko license that was included was not open source. Itās license was freeware. Patches by their nature are not open source, OS is a misnomer. In fact Ekkko was an adjunct to an album. You were invited to buy the album at a discount and bonuses item included the patch. No different than C&G sellling Organelleās on the back of great free as in their YT video of other users best patches. Thats commercial advertising.

Other users here have (or have had) their best patches on Patreon, so I assumed it was ok to post about the Organelle version of Ekkko. Clearly I was wrong in thinking that and have made note of it.
Lastly, as stated on the reply to the onset of this thread, I never made this an issue of this and it isn;t as problem that nags me. Someone here asked what happened to Ekkko and I explained what.
I havenāt hosted Ekkko here so any suggestion that I have, is plain wrong. I agree with your sentiment totally. What I did do is post a topic in the forum about the offer of the patch with one of my albums might interest users. Clearly it wasnāt . But as stated, Iām cool and never uttered a word about it. Someone asked why itās not availble anymore and I have explained why. I live and learn and move on.
Just having a conversation. You are obviously under no obligation to do anything - however PD itself is opensource and I have been in software and web development for many many years and have been fascinated by open licences such as that used with WordPress and how that works for third party developers who want to make a bit of money capitalising on a developed open framework. I do not begrudge anyone wanting to make some money from their efforts but I disagree about what you say about entitlement.
I also think you need to be a little less defensive - I was interested in your patch because I thought it looked great and I would have been happy to spend a few $$$. There is a spirit of āopensourceā as much as the literal and legal interpretation and this platform operates under that ethos - it is an expectation of people using it and not about entitlement.
The thread here didnāt say that you had tried to sell it through Patchstorage, but one of the comments suggested you try thatā¦ the person who didnāt agree with that idea is a fairly prolific patch developer and I think it is a reasonable proposition that one adheres to the spirit of things.
Well itās a good thing I didnāt make that suggestion! Just offered my two cents (as someone who posts occasional patches over there) about what to post and not post on Patchstorage in response to someone else. Sadly, Iām well aware that we live in a world dominated by capitalism and Iām accordingly sensitive to the tensions inherent to the interface between an open source ethos and the harsh realities dictated by time and money constraints outside of it - absolutely no judgment was intended.
