I was looking through the manual and I can’t seem to find any info on how to hook up the Organelle to a DAW (Ableton) for sequencing… Is it as easy as running a USB cable from the right side to the computer? Or would I have to hook up something in between the two?

You need two midi interfaces one for your PC and one for the Organelle. Join the PC midi out to the midi in of the Organelle and you’re away.
Search midi interface on this forum for recommendations if you need to get one to work with Organelle.

I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface which unfortunately doesn’t have Midi In/Out. I ordered the CREATIVE EMU XMIDI 1X1 USB MIDI Interface, which I’ve seen recommended here, and a midi plus Tbox 2x2 USB Midi interface for the Mac. I haven’t received them yet, but should that equipment be sufficient to connect my Organelle to Ableton on my Mac?

How come you can’t just connect a USB cable to the Organelle and a PC? This is probably coming off as a dumb question, but what purpose would a MIDI to USB cable serve if the Organelle is already outputting MIDI through its USB interface?

Both your PC and the Organelle are USB hosts so they can’t be connected directly together. You need devices between the two hosts.

Hoping someone could possibly give me a hand here. I am hoping to record my Organelle sounds into Ableton.

I think this should be possible with 2 1/4" patch cables. Connect the L and R output of Organelle to inputs 1 and 2 of the audio interface and then pan them in the DAW.
