Looking for a 7" monitor to set next to digitakt while I program changes at home and monitoring while playing live. Looking for both hdmi and composite video input. As of right now, I only need it for the eyesy so it doesn’t need all the bells and whistles or touch screen.
I assumed the raspberry pi ones would fit my need and the prices aren’t bad either. Amazon is oversaturated with small monitors and wanted to hear from the community.

Beware of the fact that a lot of these products display natively in portrait mode. They can be reset to landscape but I couldn’t get it to work by simply plugging into my Eyesy.
I use the ROADOM 7’’ Raspberry Pi screen since it works in landscape mode natively. Simply plug it into your Eyesy (no fiddling needed). Avoid the Waveshare product for this reason.
I also like to blend Eyesy signal with my Sleepy Circuits Hypno. I use a Feelworld L2 Plus 5.5" LCD video mixer to do this. It’s a bit of an investment but if you want to blend signal between 2 devices (and I do), this works great.

Mylarmelodies and RedMeansRecording have put up some good YT demonstration videos for the Hypno.
Eyesy + Hypno together produce some fabulous graphics. I use the midi tracks on my Digitakt to sequence presets on both. The L2 t-bar control works great to blend them with each other. I prefer the front panel controls on both units to glitch video. I do glitch with LFO’s on the Digitakt, but sparingly.
Recently got a Woovebox and can switch presets via midi bluetooth (built in on the Woovebox). Requires a CME WIDI bud on the hypno. Haven’t tried it yet with Eyesy.
There’s a guy who does a good job of showing how to use midi with the Eyesy. I think this is him but I’m in an area with really slow internet and can’t confirm.
