Ableton Link and OS5.1

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some help getting my Organelle M (running OS 5.1) to work with Ableton Live 12.4 on macOS 26.4.1.

I am successfully connected to my home Wi-Fi and I can access the Organelle’s web server/editor via my browser without any issues. However, the Organelle does not appear in the “Directory” of the Mac’s MIDI Network Setup window.

Current Situation:

Wi-Fi: Connected and working (Web server is accessible).

Mac Firewall: Inactive/Off.

Problem: No “Organelle” device appearing in the MIDI Network Directory.

I’ve searched for solutions but haven’t found a fix for this specific OS 5.1 and macOS 26 combination. Is there a known issue with the network MIDI service in OS 5.1, or a specific setting I need to toggle to make the unit discoverable to my Mac?

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

I don’t know that this is a LINK issue. The MIDI network stuff was never enabled on the Organelle, so it makes sense it wouldn’t show up on the list. LINK is just for tempo synchronization and not sending / receiving MIDI.

Sorry for the bother. :person_facepalming: I’ve had a long day and night, and I got things mixed up because I was working on Ableton Link and MIDI network issues simultaneously. Still, at least I now know that MIDI network was never enabled on the Organelle, so it wasn’t for nothing. :slightly_smiling_face:
