Is my Organelle redundant?

Hi!

I just went up into the loft and found my original Organelle. I had tons of fun with it, and it appeared on a few releases I put out. But the last time I engaged with it was probably 2 and a half years ago.

Simple question: Have I been left behind? Are people still making patches that are compatible with this unit? Is it even worth upgrading the firmware?

I’m really hoping that my OG Organelle is still relevant and that there are lots of new sounds/effects to explore!

Also, is there a quick and easy way to tell if a patch on Patchstorage is compatible with my older model?

I’ll take this internet tumbleweed to be an emphatic “YES, yes it is!”

Are you referring to the Organelle 1, light blue, no speaker? There are many patches developed over the years that will work on this Organelle. Most of the patches are on the Patch Storage site, and there is usually info with each patch about what version Organelle it requires if it matters (a patch might require a specific OS version, or need more processing from a newer Organelle model): Organelle | Patchstorage

Only the most recent OS update has sadly left this Organelle version behind, but there aren’t many patches that require the newer OS (mostly the update was fixing WiFi stuff)

Thanks for responding @oweno . Yes, Organelle 1, light blue, no speaker. Am glad there are still patches available,…I’ll browse PS. Cheers!

Could you please direct me to the relevant page for the latest firmware for my Organelle 1 please? I can’t find a link in the list of “Organelle resources” on your website, or any mention in the FAQ.

The latest firmware for the Organelle 1, OG1-4.0 is available at the following link:
