Organelle midi note latching problem

Hi I’m thinking of using my organelle S as a live keys/workstation using a midi keyboard, however, now and again a note will constantly play, as if a “note off” message isn’t being sent, usually I have to reload a patch to stop this.

All this is happening with midi out turned off and all midi only coming in from ch1. It happens on all patches, even very basic ones I’ve made from scratch.

Is this at all fixable? Would be great to use the organelle for live performance, don’t want to splash out on a new synth!

From memory, only had that when transposing / changing octave mid-note. So the note off was for a different note after changing octave.

@Llc , which MIDI keyboard are you using and are you connecting it via USB or TRS-MIDI?

Oh sorry didn’t realise there were replies!

I’m using a notation key station mini 32 over usb

Looking at the Features & Support section on this page: https://m-audio.com/keystation-mini32-mk3

Minimum System Requierments (sic):

  • macOS: Intel® Mac with Mac OS X 10.11 2GB RAM (4GB Recommended)
  • PC: PC with Windows 7 (Service Pack 1); Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz Processor; 2GB RAM (4GB Recommended)

When they mention only Mac/PC, it could mean that this controller doesn’t support Linux-based OSes like the one on the Organelle.
