Orhack (beta)

Does the ‘Percussions’ patch have some sort of built in limiter? I have a sample that peaks at -0.30 in Ableton but when I play it back through Percussions it’s far quieter. If I play the sample in the Organellem.local directory, it plays at the correct level… the module’s gain is at 100% so not really sure what’s going on.

check the pd patch… it’s possible that there might be something attenuating the level for some reason…

Thank you Audivit for this cool patch.
I’ve been playing around with it a few time now, and it’s great.

Every time I’ve run into something I didn’t understand I’ve been able to find help in this thread. :star_struck:

However, there is one thing that I haven’t been able to find any instructions or advice for: How do I get the multi track recording to work?

I’ve tried various things with turning it off and on multiple times. But when checking the memory of the Organelle (M) afterwards, I haven’t been able to find any files that seemed to be the recording.

Am I the ony one experiencing this?

I hope one of my fellow Orhack enjoyers out there can help me.

My apologies, I’ve found it now. I found it in a comment on patchstorage.

But for anyone else who cant find it. Press the F3 page (the Rightmost button in the top row) while holding the encoder, and then press AUX once, the recording will start.
The files can then later be found in the media folder on the SD card.

Hi, Sorry i am struggling with Percussion patch with last Orhack version.
I uploaded drum samples in the drum kits folders and generic samples in the Sample folder.
Percussion patch Is silent. Samplement patch works with generic samples uploaded.

How did you fix this problem?
Is this this thing of loading a empty module and then reload the correct patch make It works? Or it is the quality of the audio samples that make the difference?

Really thanks in Advance to the Orhack community and @Audivit @jbls !!

Hey everyone. I’m really enjoying Orhack. Possibly my fav groove box setup. I have been trying to load samples into 4track, octatrack and loopy but I can’t seem to work out where I need to place samples for these scripts to find them. As far as I can tell, the filesystem they are looking in is not visible on the web server. Is this because it’s in a hidden folder? Is there a way I can change where the scripts are looking? Thanks!

Hi @SoytoAlloko_25, sorry for late reply. I’m not often here anymore…
But as look would have it I struggled with Orhack again after a long break with it and stumbled again in the same problem since @Audivit hasn’t fixed the older sample patches yet, I guess he sadly is into other projects.

He kindly provided me with older Updates where all the other samplepatches were still included and partly working, but I’m not in the position to share them with you, since I dont want to pass over Audivit at this point. I work with version 0.26b the most. but the problem with them is, that you cant safe the recorded samples anywhere and they will get lost if you restart Orhack again.

BUT in the current version of Orhack Percussions and Samplememt should really work. Make sure you put the samples for Percussion into the kit folders. they should be named ‘1.wav’, ‘2.wav’, ‘3.wav’, etc. and have the format 44.1 kHz and 24 bit.

in the Percussions Patch you have to press Aux while selecting the kit folders via the Note-Keys.

In Samplement you can select the folder with first knob. 27 is the samples folder, cause in this patch you can access samples from there as well. the with the thirs knob you can dial in the accect sample you want from the chosen folder. press aux to load the sample.

If that doesnt works you should try to replace the json file in the orac patch folder with the one provided here by Audivit. but normally that should be updated in the current version.

good look. if you look over the small lacks the actual version still has you really can have much fun with this amazing patch. I often think about Audivit who provided us this way more intuitive version of orac. Its so cool.

Hi to all the community,
I’m sorry if I’ve been silent for a while.

I’m gonna have some time available which I plan dedicating on Orhack.

There is an important update almost ready to roll so at least I can assure you some exciting news are coming soon.

Beside that I’d love to dedicate some time implementing an external dedicated for sampling/looping as using vanilla PD for that has proven not to be up to the task I intended for Orhack.

Thank you all for your support and understanding.

Organelle is still the best!

Man! I’m so happy that you wrote it and have some time to work on ORHACK a bit more  I finally got an Organelle M a few weeks ago and was a bit sad that community slowly moved on through the years (I even found out that the author of a patch with borking dog actually died!). Good to see that there is still something going on. You guys who actively work on this device are :gem_stone: I’m in the process of slowly getting my head around your patch after experimenting with orac 2.0 first. I can’t imagine Organelle without these patches. Like ok - still cool but the functionalities you added are next level. Anyway just an appreciation post

What I’ll do next before releasing the update is to make a series of loosely made videos (yes I hate editing videos but I’ll try) explaining the new updates.

There is a lot to cover and I want to make sure everybody gets it before updating in order to avoid any confusion.

But here is a list of some of the new features:

• Mod Matrix (this is huge)
• Envelope Follower mod source
• Upgraded LFOs & Random mod sources with graphics
• Upgraded Morpher as a mod source
• New upgraded polyphonic Plaits
• Global Keyboard split octave mode
• Added option to refresh connected midi devices
• Several bug fixes
• Some new modules and effects
• Some other stuff I probably can’t remember right now (it’s been a while since I’ve did most of the work) lol

This is now really much approaching the end of the beta stage, there are some minor bugs still and a lot of work to do in cleaning and abstracting some of the core functionalities and maximize CPU efficiency but this now feels a bit more mature and sort of starts shaping into a more cohesive system!
