I want to utilize some features of pygame like pygame.time.Clock but im unsure if its supported with the version running on the eyesy.
I know its running python 2. Can anyone tell me the version of Pygame though?

PyGame on the Eyesy is version 1.9.4

From a fresh install of EYESY v2.3, I show pygame 1.9.3.
How to check:
ssh to EYESY.
run this command:
music@eyesy:~ $ python -c "import pygame; print(pygame.version.ver)"
1.9.3
