I just transferred some recordings to the macbook pro and then transferred back in a different order. I ejected the disc after erasing some of the files that were on there and replacing them.
Now, when I plug it in, it lights up, but then immediately shuts off
I was planning to use this in a live performance on Sunday and am dismayed
It will not turn on — even in disc mode. Please help if anyone has any insight!
It is possible the SD card that stores the sound files and software has become corrupted. You can follow this process in the manual to do a ‘factory reset’ of the device:

thanks oweno… it actually did have to do with the sound card but it turned out the card had just slightly popped out somehow
seems to be working ok now that it’s back in place!
