Beginner Orac problems

Hi, I’m new to the Organelle and I’m having issues with Orac.

The first thing is that when I load it, there’s a beat already playing and I have no idea where it’s coming from nor how to stop it! (Edit: it seems this is normal)

Beyond that, when I try to load a patch in, the list of patches to select from seems to be a generic list - it’s not the patches that I have on my Organelle. Have I botched the installation of orac? I did it via the web server but I think I put it in the “utilities” folder.

Finally, some of the modules don’t respond when I try to change the parameters with the encoders.

I was running orac off usb to begin with because my organelle was sold without the usb adapter. Now I’ve got that and installed it on the machine itself but the problems persist.

Does any of this sound normal or familiar? Any help would be hugely appreciated. was super excited when the Organelle arrived but I feel like I’m banging my head against the wall.

As I understand it (and I may be wrong about this - I’m quite new to the Organelle, too), patches need to be adapted to run in Orac, which is why the list doesn’t include everything on the Organelle. If you look on the user patches site you can find patches that specifically say ‘for Orac’…

Yep, it’s a bit of a learn curve! But, well worth it. Look all i can offer is a bunch of notes I made scrawling thru various threads etc when I was getting my head round it. It’s not in any particular order but hopefully there’s some use for you. Pdf atchd.

I haven’t used usb btw, everything is on the internal mini SD card.
