Bolsa Bass External Controler on Reaper

Hello,
I love my Bolsa Bass as an informal live instrument. Nowadays, with COVID I am more into home studio and since I don’t have lots of money I am trying to use it as a stand alone controller. It means that I am trying to assign some SSD5 Drum kits to the keys of my Bolsa Bass and record the sound acting inside REAPER. Since It can not be assigned any Drum Kit notes to my Bolsa Bass I would like to know if you had registered any trouble with this setting. For your information I am using a Roland UM-ONE to connect the Bolsa Bass to my laptop.

This should work to receive MIDI with your laptop. Are you getting any MIDI input from the Bolsa Bass? Try double checking the connection (in vs out) and the channel setting in your software.
