Hi,
I’ve tried both the USB and TRS connected to my computer for midi in so I can control it with Logic, but it is not read as an option in the dropdown menu for my external midi instruments (all of my other midi connections do).
Any help appreciated. Thanks!
Hi,
From the manual: It is recommended that a USB MIDI device is connected after powering up the 201. Then relaunch the main patch by pressing and holding the high E, F, and G keys and then press Shift.
Hi Chris. I tried this. And every other conceivable configuration. I’ve still not been able to get MIDI or clock from Logic to my 201.
The 201 works with 5 pin to 1/8” cables from my Arturia Keystep and other devices as a controller, but NOT via USB C to USB C on my computer, USB A to USB C nor USB A to 1/8” adapters.
I just bought a Scarlett 4i4 that has 5 pin midi in and out thinking it would be easier, but no.
I’ve tried syncing my Moog Matriarch with Logic via USB, which works fine, and connecting the MIDI out from Matriarch to the In on the 201. The Matriarch will send it’s own clock to the 201 as standalone hardware, but not when the Matriarch is sync’d to Logic.
Has anyone had actual success syncing to 201 to a DAW? Any help appreciated. Thanks.
Jonathon
