I know this has been brought up once before but does anyone know if there is a patch out there that can be controlled by a contact mic to trigger samples?
assuming you can get the gain on the contact mic high enough, you could then use an envelope follower ( [env~] ) to detect changes … then you can generate note events ( [pack 0 0] -> [s notes]) which is what all (that i know) organelle patches use to trig samples.
Yes! we’ve had good luck with this in the past… I will try to dig up the patch. You can detect hits with [threshold~] and then use [env~] like @thetechnobear suggests. It is fun to use the output of env~ to control things like filter and playback speed.
