Disabling MIDI Play Message Globally?

Hi,

I popped through the manual studying the MIDI implementation and couldn’t find any details on the MIDI Play/Sequence Start message, so figured I’d ask here.

Is there any to globally disable the Sequence Start/Play message? The situation is that I’m triggering the Organelle from an Octatrak, and starting any sequence on the Octatrak triggers the sequencer on the current Organelle patch - which limits the usefulness of the Organelle sending note-on data.

Hi -

There’s no global setting for MIDI transport controls but you can edit patches as mentioned here:

just disconnect the MIDI start / stop messages.

In the patch there is a folder ‘CG-Library-Local’ and inside there is the sub patch metronome360.pd. You can open this file and delete these 3 connections:

This will disable MIDI from starting and stopping the sequence. Unfortunately not the best solution because you will have to do it for each patch.
