Hello. I just bought an organelle 1 and I’m trying to use it as an fx processor for my eurorack system. I’m going out from the eurorack with 2 mono t/s cables and connecting to the organelle with a trs stereo adapter likely this Spina jack stereo da 6,35 mm a 2 prese stereo gemelle da 6,35 mm Adattatore splitter doppio stereo 1/4 Y, Confezione da 2 : Amazon.it: Elettronica.
The problem is that organelle only receive signal in the Left input, and it’s is way too loud. I know that eurorack level is higher, but I think the problem is not that, I suspect that both channels go into left input but don’t know why. If I use a simple stereo cable from the output of the computer everything is ok. Do you have any though?
Eurorack level is Waaaaay to high for organelle input. For what you write, seems like something is wrong with your cable (Or with your eurorack out). you would be better off by using a headphones out (many out modules have). or at least use two attenuators before sending the signal to the organelle.
in addition to the high signal level that @Servandob mentioned, there’s:
The description of the adapter (translated into English) says: “It can also be used to connect two 6.35 stereo devices to a stereo input.” So assuming this translation is correct, this adapter is not 2x mono-to-1x stereo as it appears you were hoping for. The mono cables (Tip/Sleeve) are only connecting to the left (tip) channel. A different adapter (stereo splitter) will be needed.
Yeah…that’s the problem. The connector is not a dual mono splitter but a stereo multiplier, so I was listening a double Left signal.
Problem solved. Thank you!
