Modem_X. 1990s DIal-Up Modem Organelle simulation

Modem-X is a client piece which simulates a 1990s DialUp Modem running on the Organelle OG and Monome 256 Grid and Arc. It is used as realtime generative instrument. Audio is serialised into 8bit data streams at a typical dial up modem baud rate, anywhere in between 110 and 56k baud and can be switch on the fly. The big difference is that instead of sending data to another modem it sends data straight to speakers via a stereo ladder filter in which the cutoff frequencies are seperated by microtonal intervals. This is a “first approximation” test of the system which is being used for a film.

Better demos with actual audio can be heard here:

and here:

But that is not a patch for an Organelle?

It most def is. The Organelle has a HDMI port if you look at its rear, lol. The beauty of PD. It’s highly portable. The screen you see is the editor part, which makes creating presets a breeze. It runs on Organelle (og archlinux), iOs, OsX, Windows etc etc. All, including the Organelle have the same editor.

But where is the patch then?
