I’ve been experimenting with making a piano patch using the samples from Pipi piano for the organelle. My first strategy was to adapt the Pacifica patch, replacing the vibraphone samples with corresponding piano notes. This worked quite well but for some reason it broke the original patch I also had loaded, which would then only play the new sounds (even though the vibraphone instance of the patch hadn’t been changed). Any idea why this might be? I will explore the Samples patch itself - does anyone know what piano notes the first and last samples correspond to - ie 1 and 68). Final question - I’m guessing the samples patch is best for percussive type sounds rather than drone-type sounds like an organ where there is a note on and note off- is this correct? I have had some success adapting the Yellowtron app for organ samples although there is a little bit of unwanted “speeding up” at the start of the note I haven’t yet fixed. Cheers
Yes, please see: Key Number list for Samples - #5 by chrisk
The first instance of the Pacifica mode isn’t ‘broken’ - it is just that the Pacifica mode for 201 is not designed for multiple instances to be loaded on the 201 simultaneously. The arrays created by sound files don’t have unique names between the instances. So as the 201 loads the modes, the sound files of the second Pacifica mode are replacing the first.
