Hi, the graphical edit mode still not working, is the same error at the beggining except when i ran VNC mode but it get slower. Some help ?
Oops 2. There is an updated disk image, should be fixed for real this time.
Alternatively, if you don’t want to download and burn it again, you can run these commands to fix it:
sudo ~/fw_dir/scripts/remount-rw.sh
sudo chmod +x /usr/local/bin/startx

Hello, sorry it’s me again!
My Organelle can’t find my wifi network. I’ve tried sitting next to the router but it’s just not picking it up. Funnily enough it’s picking up routers from the same provider, just not mine. Is there any way I can access the patch manager without connecting to my wifi now that AP mode is gone?
Do you know if your WiFi network is 5 or 2.4 GHz? The WiFi adapter that came with the Organelle M and S only works on 2.4 GHz networks. The adapter shipping with the Organelle S2 is dual band.
It is also possible to skip WiFi and use a USB to Ethernet adapter and connect the Organelle directly to the router. We use this one which seems to work well, very fast:
It should connect automatically, and if you go to the WiFi menu it will say “Ethernet Connected” and list the IP.
Hm it looks as though my router can do both 5 & 2.4 GHz, I’ve changed the name of the 2.4 GHz one while it’s running on dual band but it’s still not picking it up. It’s also picking up my neighbour’s internet who are with the same provider. I’m sure I’ve had it connected via the wifi previously too. I will look in to the adaptor although I feel like I’m constantly buying little devices to solve singular problems 
Can you see the 2.4 GHz network from any other devices, computer or phone? If broadcast SSID (visibility) isn’t enabled in the router settings it won’t show up, so that is also something to check.
Hmm yes it shows up on my phone and laptop.
i can’t seem to download the new os(5) ? when i try it says-This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it.
oh wait. i see there’s an updated link much further down…
Is anybody having success transfering their saved samples and presets for ORAC over to the new os? I copied my “data” and “media” folders into the root folder on the sd card but orac doesn’t seem to be accessing them.
edit: figured it out, these folders are meant to be inside the orac patch. oop

Are you planning to put some effort in resolving the issue with AP WIFI mode, or is this option gone forever now? AP WIFI mode was a practical thing of course.
Unfortunately we don’t plan on spending any more time on the WiFi AP issues, and AP mode has been removed as an option. If you want the Organelle on its own network you can use a small travel router. We’ve had success with this one:
You make this your ‘music’ network and all your stuff can connect. USB patch storage is always an option too.
I don’t know if this has been suggested as a fix with the wifi connection issue, but just in case it can help someone — for me at least only Safari worked to connect, not my standard browser.

I did all the steps, but when I start my organelle, it just freezes at 99%. Any troubleshooting solutions?
Hi @idk - are you trying to run OSv5 on the original Organelle (aka Organelle 1)? If so, OSv5 is not available for the original Organelle unfortunately. To flash OSv4 for the original Organelle (the current OS for the original Organelle), please follow the instructions here:
