I’ve recently picked up an Organelle M second hand and am trying to connect it to my laptop via AP mode, following the instructions in chapter 5 of the manual. I’ve done a quick search of the forum and I’ve yet to find any posts that exactly match my issue…
I’ve got the wifi adapter connected to the USB port. It looks identical to this one. When I hit “connect to AP mode” on the Organelle I get the text “Connected to AP Mode” at the top of the screen. I’m guessing this is the name of the Wifi network, “AP Mode”, as in the manual it shows “Connected to Organelle”. However, I see neither “AP Mode” or “Organelle” on my laptop or phone when I search through the available wifi networks. The unit stays in this state, “connected to AP” without issue. I’ve tried swapping the USB adapter to the other port.
When I plugged the wifi adapter into my macbook, I got the message “Do you want to connect Ralink 802.11 n WLAN to this mac?”. I clicked allow, no clue how to test it further, but this leads me to believe that the adapter is working. Though when I go to system report/USB, I dont see anything there with the adapter plugged in.
Any ideas on how to proceed? Any tips or thoughts greatly appreciated
