Hey guys…
My broken OG Organelle has festered on my desk for months now – would love to get it repaired somewhat locally (and I’m not sure C&G would even look at a device this old now).
Symptoms:
Software (and software VU meters) function normally and show output – but neither the main outs nor the headphones outs produce burbles. Just…. silence.
SD card has been replaced and reflashed multiple times – quite certain it’s a hardware issue.
Does anyone know of a shop that might be capable of diagnosing/repairing?
Thanks!
Justin
Oh, darng, Where are you located? If you are in Berlin, I might have some hints..

Switzerland – so adjacent. Would be willing to ship if a repair shop is game.
Zürich?. I have friends at Bitwascherei that might be ok to take a look..
Btw, do you program pd a little bit? . I would try sending the audio from whatever patch directly to dac~ instead of output~ to know if the issue might be the output volume knob. That would be rare but maybe worth trying.

Sorry to revive the dead thread – life delayed the Organelle rebuild.
So, no I don’t PD. But then again, I do more now than two hours ago!
Rebuilt the Organelle – same problem. VU meters show output but no sound from headphones or main L/R outputs.
VNCed into some basic patches (Rhodey) and… mucked around.
The Vol knob (in the VNC client) is responding in the PD audioIO subpatch (am I saying this right? – I can see it move in software.
I know HOW to edit the patches, but might need more specific instructions as to what to change. I assume the throw~ outL / throw~ outR in the main Rhodey patch is sending audio to PD audio IO.
So… what about the audio IO patch do I need to change to bypass the vol knob?

Thanks!
The volume knob sounds like it’s working and moving and sound issue is other hardware.
To bypass, just for testing though, just connect each catch direct to clip. Though that might be bit loud if it does work!
Well, as predicted, output remains dead dead dead.
But I’ve learned a ton, and your help is very much appreciated! Thanks!
