Unearthing this thread. Are the 4.2 patch notes anywhere? I’m curious what was added.

Organelle OS v4.2 was to improve the performance of the rotary encoder. It also included any small bug fixes or improvements to patches.

Beginners question: Is there a way to update from 4.0 to 4.2 without deleting my patches? Do I have to zip my installed patches, download them and install them again or is there an easier way? Thanks!

Re: saving my SD patch structure and installs. Is this something I can archive in VNC viewer and drag to USB drive and re-store after? Any resources about that you can pass along to save me hours of re-installing and such…?
Yes, you can copy your Patches folder and any other folders in the Organelle’s Web Server’s Patch Manager SD Card location to a connected USB drive. This is covered in Chapter 5 of the manual. I can’t remember everything that Orac installs so if you use that, you may need to reinstall it and then copy over all of the user settings, etc.
