Modules for the Orac

i’m sorry my modules were causing some UI issues, so i optimized the patches and updated them on patchstorage…

also released an edit of the Sampler24_1shot by @WyrdAl to play 24 stereo samples from 24 kits : select a kit by holding aux and pressing a key …

and happy to release Samplement 1.7 update with no more audio dropouts when loading samples :grimacing: (but samples now should have a max length of 60sec at 44.1kHz, 28sec at 96kHz)

… also an edit of the pitchshift module :v:

and a larger sample/track/song player :robot:

thanks @domicidre

as i posted in another topic, i’ve updated Cassette with a different concept…

i made another from the original one -> https://patchstorage.com/dj-set/

… then i made a dream come true, i updated Mutable Instruments Grids (from @thetechnobear port) and released a drum synthesizer made from 6 Plaits (from @WyrdAl port) to make a highly-playable sequenced drum synthesizer with emulated analog sounds :grimacing:

When I try to open samplement it says “no patches found!” - any advice/suggestions? Cheers!

hi @ampism , these are modules for Orac 2.0, they work within Orac : Orac 2.0 for Organelle | Patchstorage
please follow instructions from the patchstorage description to install and run them.
do not rename .zop to .zip (it’s an Organelle installer file format)

:v:

Blockquote
#1 : copy samplement_1-9.zop to /Patches
#2 : reload the Organelle (menu Storage → Reload)
#3 : run “Install samplement…”

D’oh! Silly me. Wasn’t paying attention… Thanks for replying @electrafa!

Hmmm. Just tried it. All fine with the grids and fusion modules (clicked on install and get a message to say successful installation), but still have an issue with samplement. I dragged it to the same “patches” folder as the others, but there is no option to install it (?) There’s an arrow to the right of it, when I click on that I get a sub menu with options “samp” and “soundshare”, which, in turn, have arrows next to them, but then clicking on both of those leads to same error message I had yesterday (i.e no patches found)…

please download it and try again (i updated a bunch of modules yesterday), you need to place “samplement_2-0.zop” untouched into /Patches , then the install should be fine

I’ve played a bit more today with pinkmode. I don’t know if it’s me but the modulations doesn’t work on the parameters… I’ve got a Organelle 1.

Here’s the demo video for Pink Mode Orac:

Thank you for converting Pink Mode into an orac module.
Unfortunately, this package would not install from USB Drive / Patches:

install FAILED
Files corrupt

This happens on organelle 1 and M.

@moosiqpipl same here… I tried a reinstall twice and still nothing!

@JEREMYWY Hey man, I’m still getting and Error Loading folder message… Install was successful but now I can’t do anything with it?

Hi Jeremy! I`m having an issue with this module, I don’t know if it is because of something i did wrong, so i will start by describing how i did the installation. I have the orac patch, inside a folder called “orac”, inside a folder called “My Patches”, inside the default folder “Patches”. I upload the .zop file inside the folder “orac” and then i install it from the organelle (M). It creates a new route of folders from which I cut the one called pinkMode, and then paste it in modules/sequence inside the orac patch. Finally, when i start orac and create a simple chain of modules such as “pinkMode -> analogstyle -> chorus”, even though it works, whenever i change to the modules “analogstyle” or “chorus”, the display start showing superposed screens with the one of “pinkMode”. Is it cause of something i might have done wrong like the installation and dragging of the module? or is it something else? I would really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance

i’ve already noticed what was the problem! the superposition of screens wasn’t technically a malfunction, but something that happens only when the ‘live mode’ isn’t deactivated on the “pinkMode” module, before changing to another module.

Hi electrafa! and first thanks for all the modules you are developing for the community. I have a doubt, i’ve just installed the “percussions” module, and after doing that i opened orac and it started in an “init” mode instead of its default demo mode. Is it ok that it happened like this? (i have two orac patches in my organelle one named “erac”, and it happened to both of them after the installation). Another thing that caught my attention was that the percussions file was .zip instead of .zop, i thought that all modules files were zop files, am i wrong about that? (excuse if these are amateur doubts  )
Thanks in advance!

hi @alanca, thanks!

unfortunately i don’t see how what you describe can happen from the percussions_1-0.zip file … (i shared this one just before i started uploading .zop installers instead, so this one requires a manual install : just need to unzip it and place the percussions folder anywhere into /media/orac/usermodules , that should not change any of your settings)

EDIT : revision 2 is now a .zop installer

the project that opens with Orac should be the project you saved from the Orac menu (this is confusing but there are 2 Save functions in Orac 2.0, one to save the project itself and one for selecting the one that will be opened when you launch Orac)

i hope this helps :v:

Hey y’all, here’s a very ragged module I made to sustain notes using a footswitch. Works for the most part, in front of synths or sequencers that sustain/latch. It’s in the state of “Help Needed”, if anyone feels compelled to check it out.

https://patchstorage.com/sustain/

Two main issues with it: 1.) the module has to be active in order to work, not sure how to get around that, really cuts down on ability to tweak other modules while sustaining; 2.) there’s something weird going on with polyphony/voice stealing that I can’t figure out– if you sustain some notes and then take your hand away, and then play another note, it won’t incorporate new voices, it will just cut the old ones off. I don’t really mind these things too much, but if there’s interest in this module, I’ve met the extent of my abilities in PD.

Thanks for everything!!!
